-
35 document types (pre-printed so just circle it)
-
7 types of identification for signer (pre-printed)
-
ID agency checkboxes: CA DMV & US State Dept (never handwrite either again)
-
designated areas for signer & 2 credible witnesses
-
checkbox for notary's personal knowledge of a sole credible witness
-
only 1 notarial act per entry
-
quick-fill options to log your Notarial Protocols (e.g. voluntary signer with capacity & proper ID; oath given; and many more) per the INDUSTRY STANDARD set in 2017 by renowned notary public / law professor / attorney / author of Professor Closen's Notary Best Practices / frequent National Notary Association lecturer Michael Closen who instructs his notary students to log
their Notarial Protocols in each journal entry (see Why tab) . . . log them all in under 3 seconds!
-
⭐ 4.6 stars - Amazon's highest rated truly California-specific notary journal
To resolve any debate on this issue, the California Secretary of State clearly prohibits logging more than one notarial act in a single journal entry. "Each notarial act must be a separate journal entry, and each notarial act must include the date, time and type of official act." California Secretary of State "Notary News" (Jan 2020) page 5, line 5. This means California is a "1 notarial act-per-entry" state,
even if you are a Signing Agent.
To maximize efficiency for all California notaries (including Signing Agents) while adhering to this unavoidable California law, all 5 of my California notary journals contain 35 document types (pre-printed) in each journal entry. So instead of writing out the single document type/name longhand in the corresponding journal entry, now you can simply check off or circle that one document type in that journal entry for which you notarized the signer's signature.
